Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.1.1 and later
Tekelec

Symptoms

We are facing issues between DSR MP IP's and the OCS Gy interface.

We are having delays of packets which bring the CCR's therefore affecting service. For that reason we have performed some ping test from the MP's against the OCS. as follows:

Ping time are good on this side, but when the IP Team makes the same ping from their side, the ping time is not good against the IPs:

YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY
ZZZ.ZZZ.ZZZ.ZZZ

Switch#ping YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY repe 100 source AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 100, 100-byte ICMP Echos to YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY, timeout is 2 seconds:
Packet sent with a source address of AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (100/100), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/22/64 ms
Switch#ping BBB.BBB.BBB.BBB repe 100 source AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 100, 100-byte ICMP Echos to BBB.BBB.BBB.BBB, timeout is 2 seconds:
Packet sent with a source address of AAA.AAA.AAA.AAA
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (100/100), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/20/52 ms

the OCS interfaces Gy IP's are:

xxx.xxx.xxx.xx
