Purpose

With Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance OS 8.8.0 through OS 8.8.5, Deferred Updates behave a little differently than what has been historically observed.

This document will explain the differences, and what to expect when you apply Deferred Updates on this version of code. 

Starting with ak8.8.6 deferred updates behave as expected, upgrading the pools to version 46

Scope

This document provides reference for an end user trained on the Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance in applying Deferred Updates following an OS update.
