BIND version 9.9.x or Later Installation May Corrupt DNS Zone Files (Doc ID 2496297.1)

Symptoms

After installing latest Solaris 10 BIND patch (119784-41(x86) or 119783-41 (SPARC)), the zone files are now saved in a default raw binary format.

Triggering warning messages while propagating DNS zones files between master and secondary DNS server.

Named.log:

general: warning: zone myzone.info/IN: unable to load from '/etc/bind/myzone.info'; renaming file to 'db-myzone.info' for failure analysis and retransferring.
general: error: dns_master_load: /etc/bind/myzone.info: syntax error
general: error: zone myzone.info/IN: loading from master file /etc/bind/myzone.info failed: syntax error
general: warning: zone myzone.info/IN: unable to load from '/etc/bind/myzone.info'; renaming file to 'db-myzone.info' for failure analysis and retransferring.
general: error: dns_master_load: file format mismatch (not raw)
