(Doc ID 2508924.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 10, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
We are performing SDS Upgrades in customer environment using SDS upgrade doc E60672_06
from docs.oracle.com. Customer is looking to minimize the downtime for which provisioning is to be disabled.
Refer Page 6: "SDS service continuity during upgrade (20162763)": The remote provisioning (SOAP, XML) will not be interrupted during the upgrade except the case
when HA switchover occurs on the Primary SDS site .
While following the actual procedure , it asks to keep the remote provisioning disabled during the upgrade of Primary Standy, Query and Active NOAM.
However In Procedure 4Step 9 Remote Provisioning is being disabled before the start of Standby NOAM Upgrade and the procedure goes into Upgrade of Standy, Query and Active Server.
Once this is completed it allows Provisoning Enable at step 37.
As a result the provisioning stays disabled for 2-3 hours while Primary NOAM is being upgraded.
Customer cannot keep the provisioning disabled for this long and is looking if the downtime can be during just the swithover
as the Page 6 originally refers to ?
