Symptoms

 In Oracle HSM the ArchReq incorrectly handles sparse files to estimate needed tape capacity.

The following recycling archive request will not start because the estimated size (128 TB) exceeds available tapes:


If the sparse file were handled correctly, there is ample tape capacity.
