SBC Failed To Forward RTP To SRTP Leg with Near-side NAT (Doc ID 2514097.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Net-Net OS - Version S-E3.7.0 to S-E3.7.1.0.0 [Release S-E3.0]
Acme Packet OS
When a SBC is fronted by a "near-side NAT" ( a NAT where the "outside netwrok" sees a different IP than the one assigned to the SBC on the "inside" network , the SRTP Security Policy must contain the Outside IP. If it does not the SBC will not originate an SRTP stream towards the far end once latching occurs, and one way audio will be experienced.

Symptoms

One way audio is seen with SRTP and near side NAT.

Changes

A near side NAT  must be accounted for in the Security config
