Users cannot login to Secure Global Desktop 5.4 by default login method through proxy (Doc ID 2518353.1)

Symptoms

Users may find that they cannot login to Secure Global Desktop (SGD) 5.4 by the default login method ("To use the installed SGD client" in the client option). 
Users see the error:

 

Could not connect to <SGD FQDN>:443"

 

WHERE <SGD FQDN> is the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the SGD server

error pop-up and "Failed to start Secure Global Desktop Client component" error in the page. Users can login without problem by using Java client from the client option.
