Last updated on MARCH 26, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Database Appliance X6-2 S/M/L Hardware - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Generic Linux

On ODA X6-2M/L, 'bond2' is a bonded network interface with 'em3' and 'em4' (10GBase-T).

If the network switch restarted or the cables of 'em3' and 'em4' reseated, the 'bond2' interface will not linkup automatically.

From the OS log, we can see 'em3' and 'em4' was link up, but we can not see the similar message for 'bond2':

You also can not find 'bond2' from the ifconfig output.

Restart the network switch or reseat the cable of 'em3' and 'em4'.
