RMLS Taking Longer To Eject Tapes

Symptoms
BRMS command MOVMEDBRM is hanging intermittently. It usually finishes after a couple of hours with tapes mounted/dismounted but not ejected.
MOVEMEDBRM invokes the RMLS command EJTRMLVOL. Running EJTRMLVOL outside of the MOVEMEDBRM completes successfully after the operator takes the tape(s) out of the CAP.
We tested an eject from RMLS and that completed after the operator took the tape out of the CAP.
