Details

A Feature Card is a Linux 6.8 server that can be inserted into the SL4000 library, to run applications that work in conjunction with the library.  There is support for robust feature card clustering and an availability solution that can be monitored externally.

ACSLS 8.5.1 can be installed on an SL4000 Feature Card.

There is a 1-1 correspondence, where only one SL4000 can be managed by ACSLS on the feature card within that same library. The ideal use of the Feature Card with ACSLS is when a single SL4000 is being supported and a standalone ACSLS server is not desired. If you need to manage multiple libraries that are not SL4000s or you wish to have a single ACSLS server to manage multiple SL4000s, you should not use a feature card.

With ACSLS 8.5.1, you can run with a single or dual Feature Cards in an SL4000.
