Symptoms

During a reboot of a zfs appliance, the system will panic shortly after exiting GRUB. From the console, the following error will be seen.

The cpu number (XX) can be any number, up to the number of cpu's in the system. The microcode versions will also vary depending on the version of code that is supported

Changes

 The problem usually occurs when a reboot is performed during an upgrade.
