Solaris Operating System - Version 10 3/05 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The symptoms of a tcpListenDrop condition can vary, including:
- an inability to connect to a particular TCP network service
- latency or delays in connecting
- a load balancer or cluster agents that periodically connect to verify a TCP service is responding may mark the service as "down". When this happens load balancers will generally stop sending traffic to the node, and cluster software may initiate a failover.
