Goal
This document is to provide supplemental steps for upgrading the RoCE switch firmware on X8M-2 and X8M-8 Exadata rack
NOTE: This document applies to pre 19.3.9 version. The steps when upgrading to 19.3.9 and higher are different. See Upgrading RoCE Network Fabric Switch Firmware Software for version 19.3.9 and higher which allows root user to verify and apply patch on RoCE switch.
