Some customers who require continuous replication to ZFS shares encounter performance issues when trying to conduct scrubs. Since replication has a higher priority then scrubs, the scrubs never complete if replication is busy.
A work around was created and is added via workflow to install the shim library on a running controller called "Improve Scrub Performance" (synchronize_receive.akwf).
Multiple versions of this workflow are in circulation with different versions of the library and environment settings.
A new workflow was created to verify the correct "shim" library is properly installed and configured.
Goal
To verify a customer using the "Improve Scrub Performance" workflow has the correct version installed and it is properly configured.
The "Improve Scrub Performance" workflow is only recommended once Oracle Support has identified a system with continuous replication being effected by Bug 29173933 ZFS admin ops shouldn't prevent scrub from making reasonable progress |
