KVMS lockmode=windows causes LINUX server to reboot (Doc ID 2640161.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 27, 2021

Applies to:

Sun Server X2-8 - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]
Linux x86

Symptoms

When KVMS lock mode is set to Windows, Oracle ILOM works in conjunction with the standard Windows keyboard shortcut (CTRL-ALT-DEL) for locking/unlocking the Windows operating system desktop.

This only works on systems with Windows Operating System.

If the server is running LINUX Operating System, this will trigger a reboot loop.

Changes

 Enabling Windows lock mode in KVM Redirection:

-> set /SP/services/kvms lockmode=windows
