Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2021

Applies to:

StorageTek Tape Analytics - Version 2.3 to 2.3 [Release 2.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The STA 2.3.0 P2 02-06-2020 Patch is available.

This patch updates the following:

■ Weblogic10.3.6
■ Java7
■ STA2.3.0

Some prerequisites for installing this patch:

■ STA is at version 2.3.0 (to verify, login and click About in the bottom-right of the screen).
■ STA database is backed up (see the STA Administration Guide for instructions).
■ STA is shutdown. The patch utility automatically shuts down STA if it is running. However, Oracle recommends shutting down STA prior to running the patch.
■ Plan for a minimum of 1 hour of downtime (depending on the system environment and operator experience, more time may be required).

NOTE: This patch can be applied to STA 2.3.0 as released in 2017, as well as release STA 2.3.0 P1 as made available in July 2019. As long as the STA environment is running one of these releases they can install P2.  If the site is not running one of these releases, they must go through the standard upgrade process to get to an install of STA 2.3.0 first.

After installation, log into STA and click 'About' in the bottom-right of the screen. Verify the following updates have been loaded:

■ WebLogic App Server Version:
■ Oracle ADF Patches: 30380494, 7376280, 16546129
■ Java Runtime Version: Oracle Corporation 1.7.0_251 (64 Bit)
