Goal
BEFORE CONTINUING with the order for a replacement of an Aura 6 F320 NVMe Flash Card, please ENSURE you have READ and UNDERSTAND the information contained in this document.
Failure to ADHERE to this document WILL result in delays to Customer problem resolution.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Aura 6 Flash Accelerator F320 NVMe (Samsung MZPLK3T2HCJL-000U3 - Part numbers 7317693) has very LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Replacement per system is as follows.
Updating your software to the recommended version code will help to expedite part replacements. See Table below for recommended software versions needed.

* In Exadata Storage Cell (X6-2L) servers, replacing an Aura6 card with an Aura8 card is a one way sub. Once the F320 is replaced with an F640v2, there cannot be any subsequent replacements of that F640v2 with an F320, an F640v2 Flash Card must remain an F640v2. The software image won't allow going backwards and will not function correctly if you try to swap a F640v2 with a F320. Systems that this applies to are indicated with an *.
** In Sparc M7-8 and M7-16 systems, additional configuration documentation required to support the F640 v2 alternate card is currently not available.
*** Oracle SuperCluster M Series - Q4,2019 QSFD has both 19.2.7.0.0 and 18.1.21.0.0 versions for the Exadata Storage Cells and the new card will not work on 18.x versions It is only supported on 19.2.7.0.0 or later versions.
