After Upgrading To Session Monitor 4.2, VSI Is Repeatedly Crashing (Doc ID 2690877.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading Session Monitor to version 4.2, drops are repeatedly seen in the Calls graphs. Review of the messages file (/var/log/messages) shows that the vsi process is repeatedly crashing causing the drops. One of the two following errors are seen in the messages file:
