DSR IPFE Blade Indicating No Route To TSA On MP Blade (Doc ID 2708168.1)

Last updated on JULY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 8.4.0 and later
Tekelec

Symptoms

While configuring new subnets on DRAs, IPFE blade is indicating that that the target set address is unreachable.

The issue is as follows:

  1. DRA is configured as Initiator-Only for the connection.
  2. The MP blade sends an INIT to establish the SCTP layer, this INIT bypasses the IPFE as expected and gets to the far end.
  3. The far end responds to the TSA IP with INIT_ACK, the IPFE returns Destination Unreachable to the far end when it receives the INIT_ACK.

Changes

 New Configuration.
