Symptoms
The /var/adm/messages file has multiple lines of "NOTICE: /dev/null: cannot create shadow char special file - error 13".
Changes
Setting LOG_DIRECTORY_CLIENT = /dev/null OR LOG_FILE_CLIENT = /dev/null in the Oracle Database sqlnet.ora file.
