Symptoms
Attempting an upgrade from SGD 5.4 to SGD 5.6. following the documentation to perform an interim upgrade to SGD 5.4, run the backup scripts, and then continue with the SGD 5.6 upgrade.
The error message seen when running the restore is: Error: File is not an SGD Server backup file.
1) Install SGD 5.6 backup package - no errors
2) Ran SGD 5.6 backup script on interim 5.4 server - no errors
3) renamed backup file
4) Server initialized to RHEL 7.7
5) SGD 5.6 installed - no errors
6) SGD 5.6 restore script runs and fails
Changes
The administrator has renamed the backup file before attempting to use it in in the restore process.
