Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 5.6 to 5.6 [Release 5.0] Information in this document applies to any platform.
Maintenance Updates are collections of the latest recommended stability, security, and/or performance updates for Secure Global Desktop (SGD). These updates are available to customers with a valid Customer Support Identifier with named support for the product.
Please Note: The maintenance updates described within this document are intended for SGD 5.6 for Oracle Linux. For information on updates for other versions of the product, please see the Secure Global Desktop Release Announcement Reference. The SGD RAR always includes the latest information regarding SGD releases, and a matrix of all available patches for any supported version of the product.
Maintenance Updates may include multiple independent packages for SGD components. Once installed, updated components may report a different SGD version, when compared to components which have not been updated.
Update 5 for SGD 5.6
Update 5--(5.60.567)--is the latest maintenance roll-up for Secure Global Desktop 5.6 for Oracle Linux. This comprehensive collection includes important security and stability updates and is the recommended production platform for the SGD 5.6 family. For more information on the security fixes involved please refer to https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2021.html#AppendixOVIR.
These updated packages may be installed directly on a new target host, or used to update an existing 5.6 deployment using the host system's native package utility, yum.
Note on New Installs : The installation guidance outlined below is tailored to scenarios where this package collection is used to update an existing SGD 5.6 deployment. Administrators that wish to install a new SGD host using this package baseline will find important guidance regarding platform prerequisites, and alternate product-installation commands within the original 5.6 release announcement, (Document 2718472.1).
In such a scenario, it is necessary to replace the original package component names with those that are included within this collection.
