Purpose
Note: The Hadoop software versions listed here are what is reported on the BDA 5.2 cluster. These versions may not accurately reflect the actual version on CDH 6.3.4/CM 6.3.4. The current and accurate Hadoop software versions are provided in the Cloudera documentation in the section: "CDH 6.3.4 Packaging", of the "Cloudera Enterprise 6.x Release Notes".
For details on this topic see the Q/A "Where is the current and accurate Hadoop software version information on BDA 5.2/CDH 6.3.4?" in Upgrading Oracle Big Data Appliance Cluster to V5.2.0 with Mammoth (Software Deployment Bundle) Release V5.2.0 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) (Doc ID 2762231.1).
Document the versions of the software components on the Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) V5.2.0 and detail how to find the versions of these software components. Refer to Oracle Big Data Appliance Frequently Asked Questions v2.x (FAQ) (Doc ID 1518525.1) for questions on upgrading, installing, and/or uninstalling software on the BDA.
Note:
1. On a running system you can find the installed versions in Cloudera Manager (CM). You can find the installed version by running the Host Inspector and generating a report of versions on the cluster.
To do so: From CM navigate:
Hosts > Inspect Hosts in Cluster > Show Inspector Results > See Version Summary: The first section shows: Validations, The second part shows: Version Summary
2. If software or services have not been deployed you can find the versions by:
a) Checking the rpm versions on the cluster.
b) Checking the file: /opt/oracle/BDAMammoth/bdaconfig/COMPONENTS on Node 1 of the cluster.
