Symptoms

The following SQL command fails:

SQL> CREATE PLUGGABLE DATABASE <DB NAME> FROM <CLONE NAME> keystore identified by external store snapshot copy
CREATE PLUGGABLE DATABASE <DB NAME>FROM <CLONE NAME> keystore identified by external store snapshot copy

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-65169: error encountered while attempting to copy file /<DATAFILE PATH>/<DATAFILE>.dbf

ORA-17517: Database cloning using storage snapshot failed on file /<DATAFILE PATH>/<DATAFILE>.dbf

 

trace file shows the following errors

2021-07-12 14:36:29.377 :skgnfs_clone_volume(): Greeting message mismatch! Expected: (zfssaadm 1.1.1 password read) Actual: (Error: could not find libjav)
ORA-17517: Database cloning using storage snapshot failed on file: /<DATAFILE PATH>/<DATAFILE>.dbf
<error barrier> at 0x7ffd14d5bd10

zfssaadm 1.1.1

Tried creating a Pluggable Database (PDB) using snapshot copy
