After Oracle DB Upgrade Solaris Cluster Will Not Start ASM Resources (Doc ID 2803356.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading an Oracle Database under Solaris Cluster control the cluster is not able to start the ASM resource with the following error.  In this instance the database was upgraded from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4.
