Symptoms

The Gnome process /usr/lib/sparcv9/gnome-initial-setup may crash leaving an application core file as well as possibly diagnostic core files and FMA events

The core file will have a thread stack which is similar to:

_g_utf8_normalize_wc
g_utf8_normalize
language_widget_new
cc_language_chooser_constructed
g_object_new_internal
g_object_newv
_gtk_builder_construct
...

...
