Symptoms
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
DUMP TITLE=COMPID=SWSSPREC-BVSM TASK ISSUER=SWSTESTA - ABEND 0C4 RC=00000011 can also show up as -
DUMP TITLE=COMPID=SWSSPREC-BVSM TASK ISSUER=SWSTESTA - ABEND U1096 RC=00000671
Both DUMP Titles address the same bug.
Canceling a MVCDRAIN can result in a U1096 RC=00000671 ABEND followed by message SLS6667I with text Internal error occurred RC=6AFE6AFE.
The RC=0671 indicates an attempt to re-queue a task that has already been re-queued.
The U1096 RC=0671 ABEND can be followed by one of the following ABENDs:
- a U1096 RC=0672 from SLSLQCHK in the SWSHTOH task. Also a S0C4 can
occur instead of the U1096 RC=0672 in SWSHTOH routine NOTIFY
- a S0C4 can occur in SWSOCAN routine CANCELRQ if multiple cancels are done and the first one suffers the U1096 RC=0671 ABEND.
Also, a S0C4-11 in SWSSPREC or a U1096 RC=6A10 can occur after a
MVCDRAIN has been cancelled without the U1096 RC=0671 occurring.

The problem occurs while attempting to remove the MVCDRAIN status from the MVC.
