Goal

SL150 - How to Configure the Network Configuration on a Tape Drive Installed in a SL150 Tape Library Using the SL150 Web BUI

With SL150 4.02 and higher firmware a customer can now configure the IP address on their HP and IBM LTO tape drives that are installed in their SL150 tape library.

A SL150 running 4.02 or higher firmware will also remember the Network configuration of the tape drives.  So then if a customer has to replace a tape drive the new tape drive will automatically have its Network configuration updated to match the old drive.

Note:  The Network configuration of a new replacement tape drive will only be automatically configured if the drive is installed into the same drive bay that the bad drive was removed from.
