Rollback NRF V22.2.3 To V22.1.0 Drop Index Command Is Unnecessary (Doc ID 2949726.1)

Last updated on JUNE 08, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Cloud Native Core - 5G - Version 2.22.2 to 2.22.3 [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In the Rollback section of the NRF v22.2.3 installation manual, point 5 indicates that the command DROP INDEX nfType_index on nrfApplicationDB.NfInstances must be executed; Is it really necessary?
Observed that during the installation of NRF v22.1.0 this Index is created and is maintained during the upgrade to versions v22.2.3 and v22.3.2.
In a geo-redundant environment, this table is shared among the NRFs, then, when rolling back, it can only be executed on a single NRF. If it is executed on the other NRFs, the command will fail.
Is it possible to remove it?
