Google Actifio Sky Appliance iSCSI Target Issues (Doc ID 2965541.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2023

Applies to:

Solaris Operating System - Version 11.4 to 11.4 [Release 11.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer experienced problems with his Google Actifio Sky Appliance iSCSI target.
Customer performed extensive I/O load (DB traffic and frequent data snapshots) and there were frequent peaks
where the target was not able to handle this load properly.

From Solaris iSCSI initiator perspective, the target often responded with SCSI STATUS BUSY and Task Set Full for regular SCSI traffic,
but the mentioned STATUS BUSY was also seen during LU enumeration (more precisely during SCSI REPORT LUNS, TEST UNIT READY, INQUIRY
and INQUIRY page 83 which are being sent by Solaris iscsi kernel module).
