VTCS issued a migrate to partition number x’002F’. After the migrates completes, ECAM returned the next partition number of x’0031’. VTCS got the next writable partition number from the MPMREC (MVC partition map record), which was x’0030’. Since VTCS and ECAM didn’t agree on the next partition number the U1096-660A was taken.
The VTV migrate gets retried and successfully migrates after retry.
Goal
VTCS is migrating VTVs to a partitioned RTD mounted tape.
