[ PCA 3.x ] Compute Node Not Accessible By Hostname (Doc ID 3071105.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2025

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance X9-2 - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release NA]
Linux x86-64
Customer reported that the issue occurred after (unspecified) patching.

Symptoms

Cannot ssh to a Compute Node from a Management Node using the compute node host name.

However, it can be accessed by using the node's ip address.

The ip route table shows its bond link for the underlay network is down:

Attempting to re-provision the node resulted in its Provisioning State becoming failed (from pca-admin compute node list)

Changes

Rack had been upgraded to PCA:3.0.2-M3.10 (Build 302-b1261765)

However, this was unrelated to the cause.
