Purpose

The objective of this bulletin is to describe how to use Oracle Configuration Manager (OCM) effectively against Oracle Fusion Middleware 10g and 11g.

Unless specifically stated, 11g stands for both Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.x) and Oracle Fusion Middleware ( Forms / Reports Services ) 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.x)

Scope

The article is intended for FMW Administrators, Consultants and Support Engineers.

This support article will not provide a comprehensive guide to Oracle Configuration Manager (OCM). Such detail is to be found in

Instead it will provide hints / tips as to how to use OCM and create projects / configurations which are relevant to your Oracle Middleware system and applications.
