OCM / MOS SYSTEMS and TARGETS - Associations and How They Relate (Doc ID 1248864.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Configuration Manager - Version 10.3.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The purpose of this Document is to demonstrate which OCM collected components actually contribute to creating a System, as can be seen within the My Oracle Support (MOS) User Interface.

Scope

There are cases where Administrators need to verify which Systems and Target relationships exist before having to contact Oracle Support for verification.  Having this information will help determine what product components (e.g. WebCache, Oracle Home, HTTP Server, Database Instance) make up a System, what is currently collected by OCM and known as a Target, and if missing in the MOS UI, which scripts can be used to troubleshoot a potential missing System or Target.
