WMI comes installed on all of Microsoft's modern operating systems (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista and Windows 20081).

Symptoms

Instrumenting the OCM collector fails when executing this command:

installCCRSQL.exe collectconfig -s

The following error is encountered:

c:\app\ADMIN~1\product\112~1.0\dbhome_2\ccr\admin\scripts\installCRSQL.vbs(264,5) (null) The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

When the "Dependencies" tab was selected on any Service Dialog Box, a similar error was encountered, WIN32: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
