11GC/12C Refresh From My Oracle Support Job Fails With 'Peer Not Authenticated' Error

Symptoms

 In 11GC and 12c, the Refresh From My Oracle Support job may fail with a 'Peer Not authenticated' message.  The EMOMS.TRC file will also contain an error stack similar to these :

 

 In both cases, we are performing the oracle.sysman.emmos.update.UpdateMOSClientJobCommand.getUpdates process.

Changes

If you are running the Collector in Connected Mode within the OMS Home location, the Collector will get updated automatically if there is a new Collector available and hence upgrading the Collector to the latest release.  As of this posting, the Collector release is 10.3.7.0.2.  This release would have included a fix from Bug 13533056 which was not packaged correctly and therefore leading to the My Oracle Support job failing.
