Purpose

When the Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant (EMCA) is executed to configure DBConsole, the tool makes a connection to the database as the SYS, SYSMAN or DBSNMP user to perform respective action(s). The EMCA tool either makes a bequeath connection to the database or connects using the listener.

This document describes the troubleshooting steps to be followed when there is a connection issue between the EMCA tool and the database.
