OracleAS 10g Rel 2 AS (EM) Console Fails to Start If Secured After 1-JAN-2011 (Doc ID 1282281.1)

Symptoms

The command to secure OracleAS 10g Rel 2 AS Console works fine, but an attempt to start up AS Console thereafter fails. The iasconsole start command hangs.

The full error as seen above may take a number of minutes to appear, so it may seem like the 'emctl start iasconsole' command is hanging.

The following errors can be seen in the log files located in ORACLE_HOME/sysman/logs
