Symptoms
Cloud Control 12c shows a Metric Collection Error on a VM Manager target and all targets under this VM Manager.
Attempting to do a synchronization of the VM Manager -
Generates the following job -
..but this fails with -

Because of the architectural changes in 12c Cloud Control (from 11i Grid Control) VM Manager is now an integral part of the Cloud infrastructure within Cloud Control. 12c Cloud Control now uses VM Manager to get the status of all VM Targets.
