Symptoms
In attempting to discover an Exadata Database Machine (DBM) in EM 12c or 13c, nodes or cell servers may be left out of discovery and remain missing.
Or you may see the following error and notice there are no nodes listed in the Exadata component summary page:
"there must be at least one compute node, one oracle Exadata Storage Server..”
while discovering Infiniband based Exadata DBM.
