Goal
The purpose of this note is to document the expected entries generated in log files when 10.1.3.x ASControl is started and the procedure to identify the known targets (discovery) is executed.
This may be helpful as part of the troubleshooting efforts in situations when ASControl is failing to discover the targets.
Once the components (i.e oc4j containers) are discovered all activity to collect metrics and/or manage them (i.e start, stop, deploy) is performed by direct connection of the ASControl to the target component via RMI or RMIS(secured) protocol, monitor and management functions of ASControl is not covered in this note.
