EM 12c: Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control Agent Installation Fails at Initialization Step With Error: Shell Path is Incorrect or Not Defined

Symptoms
When trying to deploy a new EM 12c Agent on target host from EM 12c Console, using Push Method, the following error is logged:
Remote Validations Failed Shell Path validation failed
Shell path is incorrect or not defined.:/bin/bash(SH_PATH),-c(SH_ARGS) on <HOSTNAME>
Check the property values in the following files in this order,
ssPaths_<plat>.properties or sPaths.properties or Paths.properties,
in "<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/oui/prov/resources" directory.
