Symptoms

For an Administrator, an email address: phoneNumber@carrierProvider.com has been added with the Pager (short) format type in the <username> menu -> 'Enterprise Manager Password & E-mail' page:

Attempting to send a Test email to this email address fails with:

Test failed with message: E-mail Address is invalid: phoneNumber@carrierProvider.com
