Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 12.1.0.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Incidents for stateless metrics are cleared by the EM 12c metrics sub-system after 31 days by default.

The purge policy used for this is the policy named 'MGMT_STATELESS_SEVERITY'.

The default retention period for this policy is 31 days (744 hours).

This purge policy belongs to the policy group 'LEVEL2_SUMMARY'.

It is possible to change the default purge frequency at the policy level or at the policy group level or at the target level.

This document explains how to retrieve and update the current retention period for a given target, a given policy (MGMT_STATELESS_SEVERITY) or a given group of policies (LEVEL2_SUMMARY).
