EM 12c: Incident Manager View with Lifecycle Search Criteria Returns Incorrect Incidents for Targets not in the Search Criteria. (Doc ID 2059988.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 12.1.0.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Creating a View from Incident Manager with search criteria which includes the Lifecycle status of, for example, Mission Critical or Production, returns incorrect information. Targets with Lifecycle Status of Test are also incorrectly included in the results.

Only targets with the same search criteria should be returned in the custom shared View in Incident Manager.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Enterprise > Monitoring > Incident Manager > Views
2. Click on the plus sign to add a view.
3. In the search page, click add fields and select Target Lifecycle Status from the drop down list.
4. In the Target Lifecycle Status field, select the Lifecycles to be included in the view and click on Get Results

The results show that incident for Targets which do not have the same Lifecycle Status for the view are included.
