EM13c: Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control Agent Silent Installation on MS Windows 2008 Fails with Error: WARNING: failed to grant permission (Doc ID 2114040.1)

Symptoms

Silent installation of the Enterprise Manager (EM) 13c Cloud Control Agent on MS Windows 2008 with agentDeploy.bat fails with the following session error during configuration:

SEVERE:emctl secure agent command has failed with status=1
Agent configuration has failed
WARNING: failed to grant permission.
java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException

 

The .../agent_inst/sysman/log/secure.log shows the following logged error:

agent.SecureAgentCmd secureAgentWithOMS.520 - Securing of Agent failed as invalid registration password is specified
2016-03-07 08:08:44,316 [main] ERROR agent.SecureAgentCmd main.357 - SecureAgentException thrown while securing Agent:
oracle.sysman.emctl.secure.agent.SecureAgentException: Invalid Agent Registration Password specified
