Purpose

Enterprise Manager authentication is the process of determining the validity of the user accessing Enterprise Manager.
For external Authentication methods, both Enterprise Manager 12c and 13c rely on the underlying WebLogic Server that is part of the OMS stack. For this reason, Enterprise Manager can be authenticated using any authentication method that is supported by Oracle WebLogic Server.
Authentication is enabled by default for login to the EM Cloud Control Console and EMCLI operations.
