Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.2.0.0.0 to 13.2.0.0.0 [Release 13.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Monitoring a version 12.2 Oracle Database target in Enterprise Manager 13.2 Cloud Control, or using the 12.2 Oracle Database for an EM 13.2 repository, generates TNS-12599 errors in the database alert.log.

For a repository database, many TNS-12599 entries can always be found in the alert.log.

For a target database, when the "Test Connection" button is pressed in the Monitoring Configuration page in EM 13c, TNS-12599 can be found in alert.log.
