(Doc ID 2271274.1)

Last updated on MAY 29, 2017

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Big Data Appliance - Version to [Release 12.1]
Linux x86-64

After installing the BDA 12c ( the BDA Cloudera Manager related metrics are not visible in the OEM console.

Symptoms are like below.

1. From the OEM console navigating:

BDA Network > <cluster_name> > Cloudera Manager-<cluster_name> reports "No Targets found ..".

No Targets found ..

2. Under yarn, "No data available" is reported for: Containers, Container Status, CPU Utilization and NodeManager Aggregate Memory Utilization, etc.

From the OEM console navigating:

BDA Network > <cluster_name> > yarn_<cluster_name> reports "No data available".

No data available

3. Navigating: Monitoring > All metrics for Cloudera Manager and Yarn raises:

oracle.sysman.emSDK.emd.comm.MetricGetException: com/jayway/jsonpath/Filter

For example:

a) For Cloudera Manger Component Status metrics:

Navigating: BDA Network > <cluster_name> > Cloudera Manager-<cluster_name> > Monitoring > All Metrics > Cloudera Manager Component Status  raises: MetricGetException.

b) For the Yarn metrics:

Navigating: BDA Network > <cluster_name> > yarn_<cluster_name> > Monitoring > All Metrics raises: MetricGetException.

4. The OMS log, emoms.log contains Yarn Target Errors:
