EM 13c: Restart of Additional Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control OMS Results in Overwriting of the httpd.conf LOCKFILE Value with NFS Location (Should be Local File System (Doc ID 2306121.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2022

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.2.0.0.0 to 13.2.0.0.0 [Release 13c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4 Cloud Control OMS's upgraded to version 13.2 in a multi-OMS system

Part of the post installation steps require the user to modify the LockFile parameter at two places in the <WEBTIER_INSTANCE_HOME>/config/OHS/ohs1/httpd.conf file in the OMS WLS stacks.
This modification serves to point the LockFile parameter to the local file system instead of NFS.

Restart results in the httpd.conf LockFile values being overwritten with the default path, an NFS mount location. This issue is only in the Secondary OMS, not in the Primary OMS.

So, every time OMS2 is restarted, the OMS must be stopped, the htpd.conf file LockFile values changed and the OMS started again.
